The Percy Betani Kuzanga Memorial Leadership Institute stands as a living tribute to a man whose life quietly but powerfully shaped Zambia’s spiritual, civic, and leadership landscape. Born from humble beginnings in Luanshya, Percy Betani Kuzanga rose through faith, discipline, and service to become a trusted leader, mentor, and national voice—walking alongside students, executives, pastors, and political leaders alike. This Institute is founded on the conviction that true leadership is not defined by position, but by character, service, and impact—the very principles that governed Percy Kuzanga’s life. From his early years as a bookkeeper and mechanic, to his calling into full-time ministry, and ultimately his appointment as National Director of Life Ministry Zambia, Percy’s journey reflects a life devoted to developing people rather than pursuing prestige. As the first Zambian to assume national leadership of a ministry previously led by international missionaries, Percy Kuzanga broke barriers with humility and excellence. Together with his wife, he ministered in universities, churches, prisons, communities, and the corridors of power—discipling generations of leaders who today serve in faith-based institutions, government, business, and civil society across Zambia and beyond. The Percy Betani Kuzanga Memorial Leadership Institute exists to preserve, extend, and institutionalize this legacy. It is a centre for leadership formation rooted in faith, ethical governance, servant leadership, and transformational influence. The Institute is committed to raising leaders who are grounded in integrity, guided by purpose, and equipped to serve their communities and nations with wisdom and courage. Although Percy Kuzanga’s life was tragically cut short in 1995 while still in active service, his influence did not end at the grave. His legacy lives on in the leaders he mentored, the values he modelled, and the lives he shaped. This Institute ensures that his vision continues—developing men and women who lead with conviction, compassion, and accountability. The Percy Betani Kuzanga Memorial Leadership Institute is more than a place of learning; it is a movement of legacy leadership—honouring the past, empowering the present, and shaping the future.
